MCLP Welcomes New Office Manager

Christy

MCLP welcomes Christy Mahrt as the new Office Manager. Christy, a woman dedicated to service, started her career with a non-profit to aid Cambodian elderly, widows, and orphans. Her work for the non-profit included database work and helping it achieve 501(c)3 status. Her career has been service-oriented ever since.

Christy has always been passionate to serve. She was extremely socially active in Minnesota, participating in its Occupy movement and attending rallies since 2011. But she deems her greatest passion her son Ezra, saying, “He is the best thing I have–the thing I cherish.”

Christy obtained her Associates Degree in Nursing from Metropolitan State in Minnesota. She then pursued a Bachelors in Audiology at the University of Minnesota, eventually transferring to Illinois State to obtain a Bachelors in Science.

Having spent her whole life in Minnesota, Christy moved to Bloomington in 2014. She recently came across MCLP’s post on Facebook for an Office Manager Position. Upon researching the organizations values, she found MCLP the Office Manager position the chance to become involved again.

Through her new position, Christy hopes to put MCLP in a better place, using her boundless non-profit and service experience. This includes streamlining the organization, creating an official system, and increasing its reliability.

All of us at MCLP are excited to have Christy with us and can’t wait to see all that she helps MCLP achieve!

Christy started at MCLP on March 1st.
